This resource includes the text of a speech written by William Janzen, former MCC program director for the MCC Ottawa Office, delivered during the centennial celebrations in 2022, marking the first migration to Mexico by Canadian Low German-speaking Mennonites in 1922. He presented this speech in Osler, Saskatchewan, the community where he grew up as a Low German-speaking Mennonite child.
